Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-03-01 Developer / Data Controller: Lucas Ciba Contact: support@lucasciba.com Country: Germany
This Privacy Policy explains how Pulse (“the App”) handles information when you use it.
1) Summary
- Pulse is designed to work offline-first.
- Pulse does not require an account and does not run its own servers for storing your time-tracking data.
- Your time entries and settings are stored on your device.
- Purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store / StoreKit.
2) Data Pulse stores on your device
Pulse stores the following locally on your device to provide app functionality:
- Activities/projects you create
- Timer entries (start/end, duration)
- Optional notes you add
- Reminder schedules and notification settings
- App preferences (e.g., Pro status cached locally)
This data remains on your device unless you delete it (see Section 7).
3) Data Pulse collects or receives
3.1 We do not collect personal data from your usage
Pulse does not collect or transmit your time-tracking content (activities, entries, notes, reminders) to us.
3.2 Purchases (Pulse Pro)
If you buy Pulse Pro, the purchase is handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Apple may provide us with non-identifying purchase/transaction signals needed to unlock Pro (via StoreKit receipt/transaction verification).
Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
3.3 Optional diagnostics from Apple
If you have enabled sharing analytics with developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized diagnostic information (e.g., crash reports or performance data). This information is provided by Apple and is not used to identify you.
3.4 When you contact us
If you choose to contact support (e.g., via email), we will receive the information you send (such as your email address, message content, and attachments). We use this only to respond and provide support.
4) Notifications
Pulse can send local notifications (reminders). Notification scheduling happens on-device. Pulse does not send reminder data to us.
5) Sharing of data
Pulse does not sell your data. We do not share your time-tracking content with third parties because we do not receive it.
Data may be shared only in these cases:
- With Apple as required for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and optional diagnostics (if enabled by you)
- When you choose to share/export (e.g., exporting CSV via the iOS share sheet), to recipients/services you select
- When you choose to report a bug/request a feature/send feedback with us you can optionally include logs, diagnostics or screenshots
6) Third-party services
Pulse relies on Apple services provided by iOS (e.g., StoreKit, local notifications, and optional crash/diagnostic pipelines). Pulse does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs.
7) Data retention & deletion
- Your Pulse data is stored locally on your device.
- You can delete your data by using any in-app delete functions (if available) and/or by deleting the app.
- If you use iCloud device backup, your device may back up Pulse data to your iCloud account. This is controlled by Apple and your iOS settings.
8) Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where applicable (GDPR), we process:
- Support communications based on legitimate interest (to respond and troubleshoot) and/or contract necessity (to provide requested support).
- No other personal data is processed by us for app usage, because your app data stays on-device.
9) Children
Pulse is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
